Chief Executive Officer & Executive Director

Mr. Ng Xinwei

Mr. Ng Xinwei was appointed an Executive Director on 24 August 2010 and is the chief executive officer of the Company. He is also the chairman of the executive committee (the “Executive Committee”) of the Company. Xinwei is the son of Mr. Ng Say Pek, the non-executive chairman of the Company and founder and managing director of AIPL, a controlling shareholder of the Company. He joined AIPL in 2004 to deepen his expertise in the trading operations of palm oil and coal, shipping logistics management and commodities-related investments. He is a director of some subsidiaries of the Company. Xinwei is in charge of managing all operational aspects of the Company’s coal mining business and charting the Company’s future strategy. He is also responsible for investor relations and corporate communications.

Chief Financial Officer & Executive Director

Mr. Ashok Kumar Sahoo

Mr. Ashok Kumar Sahoo was appointed an Executive Director on 1 August 2013 and is the chief financial officer of the Company. He is also a member of the Executive Committee. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Accounting from Uktal University of India and graduated his MBA in Finance from Pondicherry Central University of India. Ashok has 16 years of experience in corporate finance, accounting, auditing, cross boarder taxation, risk management, treasury management, and merger & acquisitions. He is a director of some subsidiaries of the Company.

Ashok was the regional finance director of the subsidiaries of Gati Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd, an Indian listed company based out of Singapore to look after corporate finance activities of the group spread over the South East Asia, Middle East, China, Japan and Africa. From 2009 to 2012, he was the finance director of a mining company, which operates a coal mine in East Kalimantan, Indonesia.

He is a qualified chartered accountant and a fellow member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Peter Park

Mr. Peter Park is the Chief Operating Officer of the Company. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the National University of Singapore in 1994, and has amassed over 20 years of experience in management, trading and business development across various commodities prior to joining Agritrade group.

Mr. Park started off as a commodity broker in the mid 1990’s before moving on to a trading function with an established palm oil trading company in Singapore. He was subsequently promoted to oversee various trading and business development projects in palm oil and its derivative products.

In 2011, he took the challenge of transferring to the coal industry moving to Indonesia to join a coal mining company where he gained valuable insights into Indonesia and the coal industry.

Chief Marketing Officer

Mr. Benjamin Chay

Mr. Benjamin Chay is the Chief Marketing Officer of the Company. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree of Economics and Management (Honours) and is responsible for Group Trading and Marketing. A recognized business expert, known for crafting the requisite strategic vision to achieve business goals, Mr. Chay offers a unique blend of executive acumen, global team-building and operational improvement.

He has more than 6 years of experience in the commodity sector at multi-national corporations. Having honed his experience in top commodity companies, Mr. Chay brings to the Group best practices to ensure continued improvement of the Group’s operations.

Company Secretary

Mr. Patrick Ting

Mr. Patrick Ting is a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Master degree in Corporate Finance from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Patrick has extensive experience in finance, accounting and corporate secretarial functions and worked at a reputable accountancy firm and various listed companies in Hong Kong.

Head of Mining Operations

Mr. Suka Waluya

Mr. Suka Waluya is the Head of Mining Operations of SEM. Mr. Waluya is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day mining operations and mine planning for SEM. He supervises a team of geologists and works closely with the local community as well as the relevant authorities to ensure smooth daily operations.

Suka is a seasoned coal professional, specializing in the areas of coal geology and mining. He has over 10 years of experience in the Indonesian coal mining industry. In addition to his extensive experience at SEM, Suka previously worked at PT. Antasari Raya as Quarry Mining Manager, PT. Wirabuana Prajaraya as Site Manager of Coal Mining Project and Project Manager of Tin-sand Mining Project, and PT. Rimineco as Senior Mining Engineer of Geological and Mining Services.

Suka holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mining from Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Yogyakarta (1990).

Managing Director of Sea Oriental Line Pte Ltd

Mr. Qiu XiangMing

Mr. Qiu XiangMing is the Managing Director of Sea Oriental Line Pte Ltd. He oversees the strategic expansion and ship chartering of Sea Oriental Line Pte Ltd. Over his 40 years of experience in the marine industry, Mr Qiu served at various shipping divisions in reputable companies in China and Singapore from COSCO Beijing, China Oil Beijing, Titan Ocean Singapore, Ocean Tanker Singapore, Winson Oil Singapore to Southernpec Shipping Singapore.

Head of Marine Quality and Safety Department of Sea Oriental Line Pte Ltd

Captain Li Xiaogang

Captain Li Xiaogang is the Head of Marine Quality and Safety Department of Sea Oriental Line Pte Ltd and is the Company’s Designated Person Ashore (DPA) and Company Security Officer (CSO). Captain Li is in-charge of management systems and internal and external marine audits from Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality assessments, major oil inspections to Tanker Management and Self-Assessment.

Captain Li has more than 30 years of experience in the marine industry, both afloat and ashore. He spent 18 years as a mariner on board various size Tankers from Panamax to VLCC, rising up the ranks from Cadet to Master. He moved ashore to take up various positions as the Marine Superintendent, Head of Quality and Safety department, DPA and CSO in Singapore Titan Ocean Pte Ltd and Senior HSSE/Marine Manager, DPA and CSO in Southernpec Singapore Shipping Pte Ltd.

Captain Li graduated from Dalian Marine School in 1986 and holds a Mariner Master license.

Head of Operations of Sea Oriental Line Pte Ltd

Mr. Cedric Chia

Mr. Cedric Chia is the Head of Operations of Sea Oriental Line Pte Ltd. He is instrumental in providing technical expertise in the areas of shipboard and shore terminal blending, stowage planning, cargo quantity loss control and bunker fuel quality control.

Cedric is a seasoned inspection professional specialising in both clean and dirty petroleum products. He has over 14 years of experience in the petroleum industry, managing and overseeing petroleum quality testing and blending of all types of fuel blend stocks. Cedric has wide contacts for bunker procurement and fuel blendstock trading.

Cedric holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from the National University of Singapore, Diploma in Chemical Process and Biotechnology and holds certification in Fuel Oil and Mogas Blending Techniques.

Legal Counsel

Ms. Diyah Sasanti

Ms. Diyah Sasanti, joined the Company in 2010 with more than 20 years of experience in Corporate and Capital Markets law in Indonesia.

Diyah has extensive experience in corporate secretarial and advisory roles in various companies, serving as Director - Corporate Secretary of PT. Darmex Agro; Advisor of PT Total Sinergy International, PT Rimau Indonesia and PT Pembangunan Perumahan Tbk; Associate Director & Corporate Secretary of PT Lippo E Net Tbk; Director of PT Asuransi Jiwa Lippo Utama; Corporate Secretary & Legal Department Head of PT Lippo Life Tbk, and Corporate Secretary Staff PT Lippo Bank Tbk.

Diyah holds a Masters in Business Law from the Faculty of Law, University of Padjadjaran, Masters in Business Administration from Newport University, California, United States, and Bachelor of Law from Jember University.

Regional Manager (Hong Kong)

Ms. Amy Cheung

Ms. Amy Cheung, holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Professional Communication from the University of New England. Amy joined Agritrade in 2009 as the Operations Manager, focusing on trading operations, liaising with external parties and office administration/HR management. Amy has been promoted as Regional Head in year of 2013, assists in handling corporate development matters.
